Gwen Georgia Bell Phillips Pennington, 74 of Junction City Arkansas passed away May 24th, 2023. She was born November 13th, 1948, in Hamburg, Arkansas to Thomas Jefferson Phillips and Mattie Jo Kelley Phillips.
Georgia was a member of Three Creeks Baptist Church. She retired as a dietary aide from Medical Center of South Arkansas. She enjoyed camping and fishing but most of all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She adored her cats Felix, Dozer, Tigger, Smokey, Stormy and Shadow.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, two infant brothers Thomas Jefferson and Thad Douglas. Also, by her sister and brother-in-law, Willie Jo and Willie Frank Bonds and her loving son Tommy Dewayne Pennington.
She is survived by her sons Jeffery Wayne (Vickie) of Junction City AR, James (Kerry Jo) of El Dorado AR, Stephen of Junction City AR. One daughter Janette Ramirez (Robert) of Hamburg AR and daughter-in-law Delilah Pennington of Hope Hull, Alabama. Also surviving are her 10 grands and 12 great grands who were her Pride and joy.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Young's. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in Three Creeks Baptist Church with Rev. Sean Lupton and Rev. Dano Rainer officiating. Interment will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Zion Cemetery on Highway on 355 Ashley 485 near Hamburg under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
