Garland Kelly, age 87, of Bossier City, Louisiana passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021.
Garland was born October 16, 1933, to John Franklin "Frank" and Theo Christine Cabaniss Kelly in El Dorado, AR. He was married to Judy Black Kelly for 65 years. In their earlier years, they owned Kelly's Furniture in El Dorado. In later years, they owned and operated Kelly's Place Restaurant in Haughton, LA. He was an avid Razorback fan. He never met a stranger, loved people and he cherished his family most.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother J.C. Kelly.
He is survived by his wife Judy of Bossier City, LA, one son Dean Kelly of El Dorado, AR; twin daughters Karen Morgan (Ray) of Benton, LA and Kay Smith (Keith) of El Dorado AR;
four grandchildren; Shep Morgan (Shannon) of Benton, LA, Lindsey Maggio (Brandon) of Sulphur, LA, Brandon Prewett of Camden, AR, and Kelli Harrison (Greg) of El Dorado, AR; eight great grandchildren; Cooper, Ella, Maddie, Sam, Carsyn, Will, Micha and Hunter. Along with a host of great neighbors and friends.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Arlington Memorial Park. The Family will receive friends at Young's Funeral Directors an hour prior to graveside services.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
