Nellie Jean McDonald, 87, of El Dorado, passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 at the Timberland Health and Rehab. She was born June 21, 1934 to Robert Clarence Brown, Sr. and Sallie Hill Brown in El Dorado, AR.
She retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Co. after 30 years of service, she was co-owner of Herb's Flea Market for many years, and was a member of Calion Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Herbert J. McDonald; son, Gerald R. McDonald; and brothers, J.B. Honeycutt, Floyd Box, Frank Box, Lester Box, Chester Box, and R.C. Brown, Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Steve McDonald (Ellen) of Smackover; daughter, Valarie Dews (Jim) of El Dorado; sister-in-law, Martha Brown of El Dorado; granddaughter, Sabrina McDonald Wilson; grandsons, Gerald "Sonny" McDonald, Jr., Payton McDonald (Caitlyn), Cordell McDonald, Tyler Amason, Eric Amason (Bailey); great grandsons, Caden Wilson, Cooper Wilson; great-great granddaughter, Nellie L. McDonald.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Arlington Memorial Park with Rev. Luther Harris officiating, under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
