A mobile mammography unit, the UAMS MammoVan regularly travels the state offering efficient and quick screening mammogram services. The program seeks to eliminate barriers surrounding finance, time, travel, and convenience.

The Mammovan is staffed with certified mammography technologists providing high quality screening mammograms.

Patients are mailed the results of their exam. Results also are sent to each patient’s primary care physician. If the mammogram shows a potential abnormality, the patient is referred for follow-up to the appropriate services.
