Imogene Rose Long, 96 of Norphlet, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at her home. She was born in Drumright, OK on April 9th 1928, the daughter of Mary Martha Suagee.
She married Charles Lindbergh "Lindy" Long in 1948 and they were longtime residents of Norphlet. They had one daughter, Linda. "Imo" as she was affectionately known, was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Norphlet, where she taught the 2yr. old Sunday school class for 48 years. She loved playing golf at Pine Hills golf course up to the age of 85. She also loved to bowl, but her greatest love was her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Charles Lindbergh "Lindy" Long. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Walker (Bob) of El Dorado, Grandson Neil Walker of El Dorado, and 2 great grandchildren, Willett and Ava Walker.
Funeral service will be 11am on Monday, December 2nd at First Baptist Church in Norphlet with Bro. Doug Wills officiating, under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors. Visitation will be from 10-11 at the church, with burial in Resthaven Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Norphlet, P.O. Box 10, Norphlet, AR 71759.
