James David "Jimmy" Harrison, 76, of Huttig, AR, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at his residence. He was born on April 3, 1948 to Alfred C Harrison, Sr. and Annie L. Ainsworth Harrison in El Dorado, AR.
He was a veteran of the United States Army. Jimmy was a graduate of Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia, AR with a BBA in accounting. He worked as an internal auditor for many years followed by retiring to Huttig, AR to enjoy hunting and fishing and some accounting work at home. He enjoyed cooking and hosting family fish fries and exchanging The Great Outdoors stories. He was of the Christian faith.
Preceding him in death are his parents; and brothers, Phillip Harrison and Albert Harrison.
Survivors include one brother, Alfred C “Freddy” Harrison, Jr. (wife Kathy); one sister, Mary Ann Miller (husband Paul) all of El Dorado; one sister-in-law Mauricette Harrison of Las Vegas, NV; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and life long friends.
Visitation with family and friends will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with a memorial service to follow. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Young's Funeral Directors.
