Jemmie Wayne Harrell, 98, of El Dorado, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Timberlane Health and Rehab. Born September 14, 1926 at the family home in rural Union County he was the son of O.B. and Floy Slaughter Harrell who precede him in death.
Mr. Harrell had been an industrial electrician, having retired with Albemarle in Magnolia. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. Mr. Harrell was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife of 77 years, Beverly Bledsoe Harrell of El Dorado, a son, Wayne Harrell (Rhonda) of El Dorado, grandsons, Dr. Adam Harrell (Emily) of Conway and Kevin Harrell (Kerry) of Highland Village, TX along with great grandchildren, Bryan Harrell, Cora Harrell and Hudson Harrell.
Visitation for family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 20, 2025 in Young’s Chapel with services to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Brian Trostle officiating. Interment will follow in Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
