Mark Stephen New, 59 of El Dorado, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home. Born September 29, 1964 in El Dorado he was the son of Elwynn and Betty Mellinger New who preceded him in death.
Mark was a cross country truck driver for over 30 years with several different companies. He loved his family & was an avid Razorback fan. He was “Papaw” to his grandchildren & they were his greatest joy. He graduated from Parkers Chapel High School.
Survivors include his daughter, Bethany Moore (Matthew), a son, Joshua New (Jannon), wife of 38 years, Lisa New, and brother, Cliff New (Jenny). Also surviving are three grandchildren, Hunter Cheatham, J. T. New, and Micah Moore.
The visitation will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at Young’s. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 P.M. in Young’s Chapel with Rev. Dano Rainer officiating. Interment will follow in Three Creeks Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
