Randall “Randy” Clinton Evers, 78, of El Dorado, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 21, 2026. He was born on August 27, 1948, to Ray Clinton and Christine Sawyer Evers in El Dorado, Arkansas.
Randy was a lifelong resident of Parkers Chapel. He was a 1966 graduate of Parkers Chapel High School and attended Southern State University and Louisiana Tech University.
Randy founded Evers Electric Company in 1982 with a strong Christian foundation, always giving credit to the Lord. Through his vision, hard work, and the dedication of many wonderful employees, the company grew into far more than he ever dreamed. He was a gifted businessman, Master Electrician, and journeyman lineman who was highly respected throughout the community and the electrical field. He was proud of the company and especially grateful for all who worked alongside him and helped him build it over the past 44 years.
As much as Randy loved his work, his family was his greatest joy. He was a loving husband, an amazing father, the best Papa a grandkid could ask for, and a loyal friend. There was simply no one kinder. Randy had a gift for encouraging others and making people feel valued. He cared deeply for people and was generous to a fault.
Most importantly, Randy loved Jesus. At the age of 10, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at Galilee Baptist Church, beginning a faith that would shape every aspect of his life. His faith guided the way he lived, the way he treated people, and the way he conducted his business. He wanted everyone to know the love of the Lord.
Randy was a charter member of Parkers Chapel First Baptist Church and later became an active member of West Side Baptist Church. He faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher and deacon and was also a member of The Gideons International.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, George Washington and Altia Hinson Sawyer, and Clinton Nathanial and Ruby Roland Evers; his father- and mother-in-law, Louis and Jean Reed; his sister-in-law, Carol Ray; and his niece, Aimee McIlveene.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 55 years, Emily Reed Evers; son, Clinton Andrew Evers (Keeley) of El Dorado; daughter, Carrie Evers Johnson of Rogers, Arkansas; grandchildren, Halley Stringer (Hunter), Clayton Evers, Caroline Evers, Drew Johnson, and Ella Johnson; great-grandchild, Haven Stringer; sister, Marsha Martindale Patterson (Michael) of El Dorado; sister-in-law, Rhea Ellen McIlveene (Danny) of Monroe, Louisiana; brother-in-law, Tommy Reed of El Dorado; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many close friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2026, in the chapel of Young’s Funeral Directors.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2026, at West Side Baptist Church. The service will be livestreamed on the West Side Baptist Church Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/wsbaptist. Private burial will follow at Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
Serving as pallbearers will be Clayton Evers, Drew Johnson, Hunter Stringer, Macky Smith, Monroe Hill, Robert Young, Jason Waxley, and David Voss.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Midyett, Wayne Husbands, and the employees of Evers Electric Company, past and present, whose hard work, dedication, and friendship meant so much to Randy over the years.
