Richard Allen Payne, 49, of El Dorado, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at his home in his sleep. He was born on December 16, 1974 to Sammy and Carolyn Langley Payne in El Dorado, AR.
He worked as the Parts Man at Bumper to Bumper. Richard loved watching movies, and he especially loved his family. He also loved music, and played the guitar.
His daughter, Megan, preceded him in death.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, April Payne of El Dorado, parents, Carolyn and Sammy Payne of El Dorado; children, Dylan Payne, Charla Sweaza; step-children, Hannah Davis, David Davis; grandchildren, Serenity, Layton, Shy, Colten; brother, Steven Payne of El Dorado; and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Young's.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2024 in Young's Chapel with Bro. Bill Odom officiating. Burial will follow at Smackover Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Joe Meeks, Cameron Sweaza, Shane Davis, David Davis, Steven Wren, Wayne Hanry, Dylan Payne, and serving as Honorary Pallbearer will be Jimmy Victory.
