Robert Daniel Stocks, 92, of El Dorado, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Timberlane Health and Rehab. He was born on January 25, 1931 to Roy Leon and Nellie Gladys Hughes Stocks in Columbia County, AR.
Before his retirement, Robert worked as an insurance agent and a grower for Conagra. He was a member of Marrable Hill Chapel, where he loved singing in the choir. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Preceding him in death are his parents; a son Robbie Dale Stocks and brother, Gaylord Roy Stocks.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Jerry Stocks of El Dorado; daughter, Mickie Harrell (Pete) of El Dorado; son, Chris Stocks of Sherwood, AR; sisters, Betty Baker of Minden, LA, Barbara Harber of El Dorado, Shirley Hurst of Mountain Home, AR, Millie Moseley of Van Buren, AR, Jeanie Frazier of Montgomery, TX, Donna Dye (Joel) of Houston, TX; a sister in law Tajuana Stocks, grandchildren, Cory Smith, Drake Smith, Joshua Harrell; and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Young’s.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 23, 2023 in Marrable Hill Chapel with Rev. Tom Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
