Robert “Trey” Clarence Brown III left this world on November 22, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born on April 2, 1965, to Robert C. Brown, Jr. And Martha Strickland Brown.
Trey worked for Lion Oil for over 20 years and served as President of their Union and used his expertise to help create training programs for his peers. He then went to work for the International Union of Operating Engineers and traveled the United States training others in proper E & L techniques and policies. Trey and Sonya built a beautiful life together and were devoted to family and loyal to their friends. Trey was the BEST dad to their two sons, making sure they learned all the hunting and fishing spots and taught them the beauty and majesty of the great outdoors. Trey's quick wit and ability to tell a story will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Trey was preceded in death by his father; sisters, Cindy Brown and Suzanne Storrer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Sonya Hendricks Brown; his two wonderful sons, Quade and Gage Brown; his precious mother; brothers Chris Ross (Renee), Bryan Ross; brother-in-law Todd Hendricks; numerous nieces and nephews and four-legged friends.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 25, 5:00-7:00pm at Young’s.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 26, at 10:00a.m. in Young’s chapel. Burial at Arlington Memorial Park will immediately follow, officiated by Eddie Anderson, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Director’s.
