Steven “Steve” H. Taylor, age 61, of El Dorado, AR, passed away on September 3, 2025. He was born on August 22, 1964 in El Dorado, AR, the son of Travis H. Taylor and Deloris “Sally” Perry Taylor.
He married Tammy L. Cagle on June 5, 1987 at Trinity Baptist Church in El Dorado. Steve was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was a longtime member of Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church in Spearsville, LA. He was maintenance mechanic at LSB Industries, formerly known as El Dorado Chemical Company for about 29 years, where he made numerous life-long friends. He was a loyal fan of the LSU Tigers, New Orleans Saints, and Texas Rangers. In addition to being a sports fan, he enjoyed spending time with his family and spoiling his daughters and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Travis and Deloris “Sally” Taylor.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 38 years, Tammy Taylor; daughters, Lauren Tyson (Alan) of El Dorado, Kaitlin McKnight (Bryan) of Ruston, LA, Brooklyn Taylor of El Dorado; his grandchildren, Analeigh Tyson, Adlee Tyson, and Audrey Tyson; sister, Janice Taylor of Spearsville, LA; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2025 at Young’s Funeral Directors.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church with Bro. Nick Andrews, Bro. Marty Black and Bro. Rubin Weaver officiating. Interment will follow at Canaan Baptist Cemetery in Spearsville, LA under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
