Valora Sewell Griffin, 88, of Rogers, formerly of El Dorado, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2026 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, AR.
She was born on May 27, 1938 to Joseph Franklin Sewell, Sr. and Clara Pepper Sewell in El Dorado, AR. Before her retirement, she worked as an executive assistant of Shuler Drilling and a member of the First United Methodist Church. Valora enjoyed playing the piano and organ, gardening, and reading. She loved her church and especially loved spending time with her family.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, Donald Lee Griffin; sister, Francille Swilley; brother, Robert Asbury Sewell; and special aunt, Ruth Primm.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, David Griffin (Debora); Mark Griffin all of Springdale; brother, Joseph Franklin Sewell, Jr. (MaryAnn); grandchildren, Samantha Jamison (Luke), Emma Jones (Jonathan), Connor Griffin, Evelyn Griffin; three great grandchildren; and a host of friends.
A private graveside service will be held at Fredonia Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
