EL DORADO, Ark. (KTVE/KARD) — The ACTIVE Coalition program is doing a youth drug prevention for marijuana, prescription drugs, alcohol, and nicotine and violence prevention. The members of this program are actively engaged in drug education, community outreach, and drug-free activities. The idea is to help create a drug free environment. KTVE/KARD spoke with Certified Prevention Consultant Jill Weinischke with more details on the importance of parents knowing what to pay attention to.
This is important to know because it’s, kids are just so curious these days. And they are curious about vaping, alcohol, drugs those types of things. And curiosity could lead to use, abuse, addiction. And so, to find those things on the early side would be beneficial to everybody. The family, the child, everyone.
