Archie Dwayne Faulkner passed away peacefully at home on August 12th, 2025, at the age of 83. He was born on August 16th, 1941, in Banks, Arkansas, to Laverne Douglas and A.G. Faulkner, who preceded him in death.
Dwayne was a proud 1960 graduate of El Dorado High School and retired from Lion Oil Refinery as a maintenance supervisor. In his younger years, he enjoyed camping, spending time at the lake with his family, riding his motorcycle, and playing golf. In later years, he cherished daily visits with friends, including Terry Williams at the car lot, Randy Wells at the Napa store, Todd Graves at TNT Cycle and Danny Carelock at the golf course. Dwayne was known as the go-to person for anything related to vehicles, construction, electrical, or plumbing, always finding a way to fix anything. He was definitely a jack of all trades.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Betty Faulkner, his daughters Sue Darden (Greg) and Christy Caldwell (David), and his grandchildren: Joseph Cheatham (Tasha), Trevor Cheatham (Rachel), Blake Caldwell, Paige Caldwell (Jason), Dylan Caldwell, Cyle Caldwell (Callie), and Hope Mabry (Zachary), along with a total of 11 great grandchildren.
We hope all that knew and loved him will join us in a memorial that will be held at Young's Funeral Home on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 3:00 pm.
