Mrs. Bettie Parks Fair was born September 1,1929 in Smackover, AR and passed into eternal life July 26, 2025 in Shreveport, LA.
Mrs. Fair was primarily a wife and mother most of her adult life. She was also a teacher at the Tenth Ward Daycare Center in Lafourche Parish in Louisiana for 15 years. Bettie will be remembered as a strong and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, William Robert Fair, her parents, Walter Wallace Parks and Vera Murphy Parks, her siblings, Walter Wallace Parks, Jr. and James Norman Parks and grandson, Thomas Kalford Ratcliff.
Mrs. Fair is survived by her children, Joy Fair Ratcliff (John Ratcliff) and William Robert Fair, Jr., her grandchildren, William Robert Fair III (Madeline Heidl Fair), Mary Melane Fair Keller (Nick Keller) and Taylor Robert Fair, and great-grandchild, Emma Lynn Fair.
Visitation will be held at Young’s Funeral Home 508 Champagnolle Rd, El Dorado, AR from 11:00-noon on Saturday, August 2, 2025 with a graveside service following at Salem Cemetery, Arkansas Highway 172 in Lisbon.
