David Ray Hale, 87, of El Dorado, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025 at Courtyard Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on April 9, 1938 to Jordan Lee and Zora Brewer Hale in Columbia County, Arkansas.
He was a retired truck driver, a member of the Mt. Holly Volunteer Fire Department, and Mt. Holly Community Church. He enjoyed organizing camping trips for the youth of the Mt. Holly area churches, deer and turkey hunting, but most of all loved spending time with his family.
Preceding him in death along with his parents are his first wife, Marilyn Payne Hale; his second wife, Hazel McAdoo Hale; and two sisters, Brenda Burchfield, and Cynthia Chappel. Niece Paige Burchfield.
Survivors include his two daughters, Lisa Jordan of El Dorado, Connie Clark (Mark) of Arkadelphia; three grandchildren, Jesse Clark (Casey) of Benton, Tyler Jordan (Savanna) of El Dorado , Christopher Clark (Molly) of Atlanta, GA; three great grandsons, Mac Clark, Shepherd Clark, David Whitley Jordan; brother-in-laws, Mark Payne (Jo Ann) and Aaron Chappell; nephews, Terry Payne, Tim Payne, Joe Burchfield, Zack Meador, nieces, Ginger Mulholland, Amanda Lee and Michelle Walker. He is also survived by two step-daughters, one step-son, and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be his three grandboys Rick Warren, Tim Payne and Joe Bates.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at Mt. Holly Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors, with Steve Davis officiating.
