James David Hearnsberger

James David Hearnsberger, 64, of El Dorado, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.  He was born on June 09, 1960 to William "Bill" Hearnsberger, Sr. and Barbara West Hearnsberger in El Dorado, AR.

 

David was a Graduate of the University of Arkansas. He was a member of Phi- Delta Theta. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing. He worked for his family business for several years. Later, he returned to Southern Arkansas University and became an Arkansas Certified Educator. He taught with the El Dorado School District for 20 years. He obviously was an avid Razorback fan; he rarely missed a football, basketball, or baseball game. His favorite thing to do was garden and tend to his plants.

His 2nd favorite thing to do was argue politics with his brothers and sons. He adored his wife and was most proud of his boys; he bragged on them to anyone who would listen. David will be greatly missed.

 

Preceding him in death are his parents; brother, William "Tom" Hearnsberger, Jr.; and mother-in-law, Linda Wood Kelley.

 

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; sons, Jake Hearnsberger of Las Vegas, NV and James Nathan Hearnsberger of Salt Lake City, UT; step-son, Donovan Boothe of Camden, AR; granddaughter, Paislee Boothe of Camden, AR; step-mother, Jan Bryant Hearnsberger of El Dorado, AR; brothers Jon Hearnsberger of Phoenix, AZ and Mike Hearnsberger of Norphlet, AR; step-sisters, Jennifer Stone (Paul) and Lara Thornton Dollar both of El Dorado, AR; nieces, Jill Stone of El Dorado, AR, Aaryn Avant of Smackover, AR, and Brooke Avant of Fayetteville, AR; and sister-in-law, Zephonia Avant (Jeff) of Camden, AR.

 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 in Young's Chapel from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 in Young's Chapel at 2:00 p.m. to honor his life and legacy.  Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
