Patricia R. Orr, 75, of El Dorado, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 24, 2025, surrounded by her daughters. She was born August 15, 1950, to William “Alex” Ragland and Geraldine “Jeri” Taylor Ragland.
A lifelong resident of El Dorado, Patricia attended Hugh Goodwin Elementary and graduated from El Dorado High School, Class of 1968.
Patricia began her career in the business office at Warner Brown Hospital and later held various roles in the community, including administrative work and radio. She spent many years in retail, specializing in cosmetics and jewelry, before becoming a licensed Arkansas real estate agent. Patricia enjoyed a long and successful career in real estate, serving the El Dorado community with dedication and care during her many years at Jan’s Realty before retiring.
Patricia found her church family at Hillsboro St. Church of Christ, where she was deeply involved and especially passionate about supporting the church’s food pantry mission.
She took great pride in being a Southern woman, embracing the traditions, warmth, and hospitality of Southern culture throughout her life.
Patricia had a true passion for cooking—she took classes to refine her skills, entered local recipe contests, and delighted in sharing her creations with family and friends. She enjoyed shopping for antiques and jewelry, decorating her home, and relaxing on her front porch. She had a close-knit circle of friends in the community and cherished their time together, especially their memorable “girls’ trips”.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, James “Ronnie” Orr, whom she married on August 12, 1983.
Patricia is survived by daughters, Molly Ann Crosby and Emily Kay Smith (Brian); grandchildren Andrew, Michael, Emma, and Lilly; stepchildren Haley and Matthew; and her sister, Bennie Gail.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Hillsboro St. Church of Christ, followed by a 2:00 PM memorial service officiated by James Nixon. Arrangements are entrusted to Young’s Funeral Directors.
