Sandra Dru Morton, age 62, of Smackover, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Timberlane Health and Rehabilitation. Born on September 19, 1961 in El Dorado, AR; she was the daughter of Franklin Leland Watts Sr. and Wilma Earline Montgomery Watts.
Sandra was a member of St Louis Catholic Church in Camden. She retired after over 25 years as an LPN with Union Medical Center and later Ouachita County Medical Center. Sandra loved people. She never met a stranger. Though Sandra faced many struggles, she met life head on. Through everything, Sandra retained her sense of humor and her quick wit. She loved to laugh and to make others laugh. She possessed a very generous heart and a giving spirit.
She loved her family. She enjoyed watching her husband perform. She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hubert Clifton Morton, and a brother Franklin Leland Watts Jr.
Survivors are a stepson Daniel Morton (Melissa) and daughter Hadley Morton of Simms, TX, brother William Watts (Tammy) of Hot Springs Village; a sister in law Kelly Watts of Smackover, AR, three nephews, Heath Watts (Kelsey), Grady Watts, Blake Watts (Peighton), niece, Rebecca Watts of Texarkana, AR, and several great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 20, 2023 from noon to 1:30 pm at Young's Funeral Directors. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 pm at Old Lapile Cemetery with Father Edward D'Almeida officiating.
